Who we are
Neema Real Estate ("we") is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Address: 21 Martin Street, Tedstoneville, Germiston, Gauteng. Privacy questions can be sent to info@neemarealestate.co.za.
What we collect
- When you send an enquiry, request a viewing, send an offer enquiry or ask for a valuation: your name, email address, telephone number, your message and the details you enter in the form (for example preferred viewing times, an offer amount and how you intend to pay, or your property’s suburb).
- The property you asked about, and the date and time of your submission.
- A one-way, daily-changing code derived from your internet address, used only to block repeated spam submissions. We do not store your internet address itself.
- Saved (favourite) properties are stored only in your own browser. We do not receive or store that list.
- If you send a message through the website chat: your name, phone number, optional email address and your message, handled in the same way as other enquiries.
- If you tap a WhatsApp button, we count that a chat was started for that listing; we do not record who you are. Your conversation then takes place on WhatsApp under its own privacy terms.
- When you view a property, we add one to that listing’s daily view count, together with the general source of the visit (for example a search engine, social media or a direct link), the device type (phone, tablet or computer) and the country or region taken from your browser’s time zone. No cookies are used and nothing that identifies you is stored.
- If you tap Like or Not for me on a property, we add your vote to that listing’s totals. Your choice is remembered in your browser so you can change it; we keep only an anonymous, one-way code for 30 days to prevent repeat voting.
Why we use it
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry: to contact you, arrange viewings, discuss an offer with you and the seller or landlord, or arrange a valuation. We rely on your consent and on taking steps at your request before a possible agreement.
We do not send you marketing unless you tick the separate, optional box asking for matching listings. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any of our emails.
Who sees it
Your submission is stored on our website’s secure administration system and emailed to our office and the agent responsible for the property. Only authorised Neema Real Estate staff can view enquiries. Where you make an offer enquiry or request a viewing, we may share relevant details with the property’s owner (seller or landlord) to progress your request. We do not sell your information.
Our website hosting and email providers process this information on our behalf and under our instructions.
How long we keep it
Website enquiries are deleted automatically after 24 months, unless they form part of a property transaction we must keep records of by law (for example under the Property Practitioners Act or FICA).
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Contact us using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): www.inforegulator.org.za.
Security
This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to enquiries requires a staff login, and staff can only see the enquiries they are permitted to handle.
